The LRP-HPI Challenge Warm-Up took place on May 28/29 in Höckendorf near Dresden where about 83 participants attended the race. This was the first time that the German Championship of this racing series was held in East Germany. The modern track in Höckendorf was built in 2010 and consequently the facilities were very well prepared and supplied.
XRAY was highly represented in every class. In the Stock class (13.5T motors with Powerprogramm Speedos), well known Stock racer Tony Streit and Fabian Ehrhardt took top positions.

On Saturday, a lot of practice time was given and the grip level increased very quickly. The layout of the Höckendorf track is very technical and needs a lot of steering. There is no forgiveness for making mistakes.
Tony and Fabian were very fast from the beginning and in the first heat there was only a 0.02sec difference between them after 5 minutes. Fabian was testing some different bodies and gear-diff combinations, but defended his first place and managed to take TQ.

In the finals on Sunday, there were very tough battles and Fabian had fallen behind into 4th place. But with a safe driving style and the good performance of his XRAY T3â™11 he succeeded claiming top spot in 2 of the 3 finals.
